Her laugh. So contagious and magnetic that if you heard it you wouldn’t be able to resist sharing a chuckle or two as well.Such a prominent feature of this day and these images, you can see all the laughter and love between this couple on this absolutely perfect day. Casual yet refined, Vicki and Dom’s wedding was the essence of the Outer Banks and their crowd enjoyed the festivities far after a stunning sunset over the Currituck Sound. Take a peek through these moments to get a feel for their lovely beach barbecue on the Banks.

A first look is one of those “things just got real” moments when the bride and groom see each other for the first time after the painstaking hours of getting ready if you’re the bride, and (let’s be honest) the 20 minutes it takes if you’re the groom. A private moment to share between the couple before everyone else becomes part of the picture, when your wedding is only about the two of you. We can’t get enough of this moment, although we still love the traditional secrecy until ceremony.
Their ceremony was held perched atop the upper tier of our observation deck overlooking the Atlantic ocean. With a witty and, when needed, profound officiant and friend guiding the ceremony, this crowd was in stitches or tears the entire time.
With a surprise boat entrance to their reception at our sound side Pavilion for their reception, this couple started their night off with a bang. This true Outer Banks wedding was complete with whole steamed lobsters, roasted oysters and fresh blue crabs. This meal didn’t stop there- buttery corn, roasted potatoes and vegetables, and a mountain of shrimp were the perfect accents to this seafood feast. Farm tables and mismatched wooden chairs perfected this casual, yet refined evening with white blooms and tendrils of greenery cascading down the tables. Over-sized games, lounge furniture and a beer canoe were fun accents to their reception, and kept the guests entertained until the dancing started.
Once the sun set, this crowd hit the dance floor and didn’t leave until closing! Friends and family kept each other close and had the time of their lives, including this cute-as-can-be newlywed couple.
These two sneaked away right as the sun was dipping below the water for some time to share each other’s company and some romantic shots. Can you say dreamy?
