Runners come from all over the country to travel over 100 miles by foot from the Currituck Light House, past the Bodie Island and Hatteras Lighthouses through the scenic Cape Hatteras National Seashore, to the Graveyard of the Atlantic! Arggghh, matey! Show up in your most treasured Pirate costume for this themed race. Beginning in Kitty Hawk, you can run the banks all the way to the Pirate Jamboree waiting at the finish. A pirate’s booty will be waiting that’s exactly what every scallywag needs at the finish line for every participant that crosses!
Where better to do a swim-bike-run than here on the Outer Banks? All three parts located in Manteo, with plenty of space for supporters! This two day haul is known for particularly spirited spectators, encouraging the participants through all three legs whether solo or a relay team. Awesome for families or just on your own.
Not to be missed, this marathon is on its 10th annual circulation and it has a great execution for its participants. Known for its abundant volunteers, this race is great for groups or individuals coming down for some good hospitality. Come for the weekend or stay through the week, because you will most definitely see tons of places you’ll want to visit on the race course after you finish!
