Topic #5: Water Treatments
Employee: Patricia Hudson
Tricia’s interest in massage stemmed from a life-long fascination with physical therapy and from her desire to help people. She enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Kee Business College of Chesapeake and began working as a massage therapist at the Spa at Sanderling shortly after. Tricia has been a part of the Sanderling Resort team for fifteen years.
One of Tricia’s specialties are water treatments. These services are performed in a hydrotherapy room which contains a high-powered, single-person jacuzzi tub, a high-pressured Scots hose for massage, and an overhead Vichy Shower. Tricia says, “I enjoy using the Vichy Shower wand because it delivers a variety of water pressures with alternating temperatures to enliven the senses.” She also mentioned that the tub converts to a massage table where you can receive an invigorating scrub or body wrap. The water treatments Tricia recommends receiving are the Ocean Serenity Ritual, the Scotch N’ Water Soak, and the Healing Waters.
Tricia’s favorite product is Babor’s Relaxing Lavender Mint Body Butter. While delivering a calming scent, this lotion contains anti-oxidants which protect the skin against premature, environmentally-induced skin aging.
